What type of employment contract should I offer a Jobstar?
It is up to you as the Employer. Please ensure you seek advice to select the right contract for Jobstars. There are alternative types to select from for temporary jobs like a fixed-term or casual contract.
What is the difference between fixed-term or casual employment?
With fixed term employment the agreement clearly states that there will be a finish date e.g. harvesting fruit could be when the job is completed or the fruit has ripened. A casual agreement is usually used when the Jobstar has no guaranteed hours of work, no regular pattern of work, and no ongoing expectation of employment. This can happen if it is hard to predict when the work needs to be done, or when the work needs to be done quickly. However, if there is a clear work pattern or one develops for the Job, then it is best to use a fixed-term contract.
Do you have a minimum job length?
Yes 8 hours is the minimum length for a job.
Can I hire a Jobstar permanently?
Absolutely. There is a finders fee involved. Please see the Terms of Use for more information.
How many Jobstars can I hire at once?
You can hire as many Jobstars as your job requires. We cater for jobs from 1 to many workers.
How much does it cost?
Once you have hired a Jobstar and they begin the job, you'll pay a sliding service fee. See Pricing for more information.
How do I know the Jobstar will be a good fit?
Our high touch 3 stage screening process helps us attract hard working, flexible Jobstars. If for any reason you find that the Jobstar is not a good fit for your job please notify us on the App. Ending employment requires a good understanding of employment law. A Jobstar has not shown up for work, what do I do?
Notify the Jobloads Admin team through the notify button on the App. We can organise a replacement Jobstar for you. Please note that it takes 3-5 working days to replace a Jobstar.
Can I interview the Jobstars who have been selected for my job?
Yes, we understand that for highly skilled roles you might want to do some additional checks. Please notify us on the App.
